My mother-in-law, June Beasley makes Russian Tea during the holidays. I used to not like it very much, but now I love it! She's pictured below alongside a picture of the well used handwritten recipe.
Russian Tea - June Beasley
2 Qts. Sweet Tea 1 Lg. can of Orange Juice
1Lg. can of Pineapple Juice 1 Sm. can of Grapefruit Juice
2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
2 oz of Cinnamon Sticks
3/4 oz of Whole Cloves (approximately)
Combine all ingredients (except for cinnamon sticks and cloves) in a large container.
Take two cups of water and bring to a boil. Add cinnamon sticks and cloves to boiling water and let steep for 1 hour. Add steeped tea to other ingredients. Refrigerate.
The longer this sits the better it becomes. Vodka can be added to taste, for some real Holiday Cheer!
